Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing construction or pre-fabrication experience.
• Specific experience in industrial and/or hi-tech semiconductor manufacturing projects is highly preferred.
• LEED Accredited Professional, or ability to become accredited within eighteen (18) months preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Education background in materials and methods of construction.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily planning and coordination of OSM manufacturing activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
• Interface between Area Construction Managers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Verify documentation is complete and that approved materials/equipment are installed correctly, completely, and safely.
• Understand BIM to ensure interface between models and construction is coordinated and clash-free.
• Help drive innovation within design and construction planning through all phases of the project.
• Manage OSM data performance and specific OSM data metrics.
• Review project submittal information for coordination, accuracy, and functionality.
• Distribute RFIs and change in scope documents to OSM members.
• Assist in buyout and procurement of OSM subcontractors and equipment, including subcontracts review.
• Assist in estimating and tracking project budgets and expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Support review of project billings and billing schedule of values for OSM subcontractors and vendors.

Job description

We seek a dedicated and detail-oriented an experienced Project Engineer to join our Off-Site Manufacturing (OSM) Team. In this role, you will oversee the planning, design, and execution of modularized components within the construction project. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring that all off-site manufacturing processes align with the project specifications, budget, and timelines. This role will work within the Construction Management Department and will report to the OSM Project Manager. This position is on the front line to aid in avoiding and solving technical problems that arise and driving OSM innovations. This role will also help lead our OSM quality control efforts on the project site, which includes document review during preconstruction, construction, commissioning, and closeout activities. This position is fully onsite at our project located in Boise, ID.

Salary Range:$80,00 - $130,000 DOE + Incentives

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the daily planning and coordination of OSM manufacturing activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines and deliverables.
• Interface between Area Construction Managers, multiple subcontractors, and vendors.
• Verify all documentation is complete and that the approved materials and equipment are being installed correctly, completely, and safely.
• Clearly understand Building Information Modeling (BIM) to ensure the interface between models and construction are being coordinated and clash free.
• Help to drive innovation within the design and construction planning through all phases of the project.
• Manage OSM data performances and specific OSM data metrics.
• Thoroughly review and process project submittal information, ensuring full coordination, accuracy, and functionality of each component.
• Receive, publish, and distribute requests for information (RFI) and change in scope documents to OSM members.
• Assist in the buyout and procurement of OSM subcontractors and equipment, including on-going review OSM subcontracts and contract modifications.
• Assist in estimating and tracking project budgets and expenditures, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
• Support in the review of all project billings and billing schedule of values for OSM subcontractors and vendors as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Professional Skills and Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Automation, Civil, Mechanical,Electrical), Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent degree and/or equivalent field work experience required.
• A minimum of five (5) years of Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing construction or pre-fabrication experience required. Structural experience highly preferred.
• Specific experience in industrial and/or hi-tech semiconductor manufacturing projects is highly preferred.
• LEED Accredited Professional, or the ability to become accredited within eighteen (18) months preferred.

• Education background in materials and methods of construction.

Position Related Skills

• Proficient inWindows and Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point and Teams),and have a general understanding of working within a computer network.
• Experience with project management software such as Prolog, Procore, E-Builder, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Primavera Project Planner (P6).
• Experience or willing to learn design software such as AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks.
• Training in design and construction document reading, design specifications, survey theory and techniques.
• Experience in organizing technical data in a neat and accurate method. Familiar with CSI specification system forconstruction.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all aspects of construction.
• Highly developed visual observation and interpretation skills.
• Ability to work well and maintain a cooperative attitude through high-pressure situations.
• Excellent time-management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work while frequently interrupted by phone calls and questions on work in progress.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships.
• Ability to work closely with variety of trade and craft people in a field work situation. Patience and professionalism are essential.
• Must be a dedicated team player with the ability to collaborate with various personnel within and across departments and at all levels of leadership.
• Work schedule must be flexible to allow extended hours or off-shift work to accommodate changing construction schedule and sequences.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Standing/Walking/Sitting: Workday is a combination of being stationary and moving about the work location.
• Must be able to climb stairs: Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and work in confined spaces.
• Hands/Arms: Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. Frequently operates machinery and will use hands/fingers and legs to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect and position materials.
• Sight: Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus in an outdoor environment. Must be able to safely operate a vehicle with a valid driver's license. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; reading printed and digital documents.
• Hearing:Must be able to work in proximity to loud equipment more than 75% of the time. Must be able to wear hearing protection as necessary. Often required to communicate with customers and coworkers in an office setting and on the job site.
