Job summary

ANDRITZ Inc. in Beloit, WI seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to design equipment with Autodesk Inventor/AutoCAD, create layouts, production drawings, and BOMs, and prepare technical documentation for customer projects.

Travel 25–50% globally to support installations and field activities, collaborating across Manufacturing, Procurement, Sales, and PM teams to deliver effective, innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong experience with Autodesk Inventor and/or AutoCAD.
• Solid mechanical design and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

What You'll Do

• Design mechanical equipment and machinery using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor
• Develop layouts, production drawings, bills of material, and technical documentation
• Partner directly with customers to support installations, troubleshooting, and project execution
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Procurement, Sales, and Project Management teams
• Drive product improvements, value engineering initiatives, and innovative solutions
• Travel to customer sites throughout North America and internationally to support projects and installations

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor and/or AutoCAD
• Strong mechanical design and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and project coordination skills
• Passion for hands-on engineering and customer interaction
• Ability and willingness to travel 25-50% globally
