Job description

Job Title: Project Engineer-Mechanical

Work Location: Anchorage, AK (JBER)

Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with the manager in the interview.

Requirements: Must be a US Citizen, pass a federal background review, and drug screening.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Provide construction engineering services on multiple federal projects, with construction values ranging from tens of millions to hundreds of millions of dollars.
  2. Experience with large projects (construction value of at least $100 million) is preferred.
  3. Responsible for site observation and reporting to government personnel.
  4. Provide technical and administrative support.
  5. Oversee construction, contract administration, and quality assurance activities, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
  6. Analyze design and construction issues related to contract requirements.
  7. Recommend actions to ensure contract compliance.
  8. Review and interpret plans, specifications, submittals, reports, schedules, modifications, cost estimates, pay applications, change orders, and claims.
  9. Provide field surveillance and prepare detailed daily reports.
  10. Participate in pre-construction conferences with government personnel.
  11. Maintain professional presentation and communication skills when interacting with clients and contractors.
  12. Experience with US Army Corps of Engineers projects is a plus.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of engineering, construction, and contract administration experience.
  • Experience working with government clients is preferred.
  • Experience with US Army Corps of Engineers projects is preferred.
  • Experience with large campus-type projects is preferred.
  • Mechanical Systems experience is preferred.
