Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs seeks a Civil Engineer to design water and wastewater distribution systems, surface water management, site grading, and roadway design. You will lead projects from entitlements to construction, navigating multiple permitting entitlements across agencies with local Virginia expertise.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited) and PE licensure, with Virginia experience preferred and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, WaterCAD, StormCAD, and SewerCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET/accredited program is required.
• PE licensure is required.
• Virginia experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, WaterCAD, StormCAD and SewerCAD is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design water and wastewater distribution systems, surface water management, site grading and roadway design.
• Lead projects from entitlements through construction.
• Navigate permitting entitlements across governmental agencies using local expertise.
• Develop and implement permitting strategies to meet deadlines for developments and commercial projects.
• Engage with clients and government entities to grow relationships and promote the company.
• Deliver projects that meet client satisfaction and drive company growth.

Requirements
