Job summary

Fisher Arnold invites a Project Engineer to join our Land Development team in Memphis, contributing to residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use developments across the region. The ideal candidate holds a civil engineering degree (ABET-accredited) with 4+ years of land development design experience, proficiency in Civil3D, and strong technical writing skills.

Tennessee PE licensure or eligibility within a year is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from ABET accredited University required (master’s degree preferred)
• Professional Engineer licensed in the State of Tennessee, or the ability to become licensed within one year preferred
• Minimum of Four (4) years responsible experience in performing land development design and plans production
• Experience in utilization of Autodesk Civil3D in design and production of site construction plans is a must. Experience in utilization of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel in particular), ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, and other hydrologic software is a plus
• Strong attention to detail, highly organized work ethic
• Strong technical writing and computer skills

Responsibilities

• Perform design work related to Land Development projects, including site planning and layout, grading and drainage, stormwater management, erosion control, sanitary sewer systems, domestic and fire distribution, roadways, and traffic control
• Produce construction plans for land development projects, and work with the team to obtain approvals from jurisdictions having authority

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
