Job summary

Armstrong World Industries in Millwood, West Virginia, is seeking a Project Engineer to plan, develop, and execute plant level capital and non-capital projects. The role offers relocation and a base salary in the mid to high $70k-$90k range with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.

You will lead cross-functional teams, drive continuous improvement, and oversee scopes and budgets for projects, leveraging Lean concepts and manufacturing know-how.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline, 5+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment or industrial maintenance
  • Ability to understand and use various computer software programs such as- Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Providing project support for safe and successful implementation of plant capital project plan
  • Analyzing and implementing initiatives to improve safety systems, manufacturing processes, maintenance services and physical facilities.
  • Supporting Plant, Divisional, and corporate proposed efforts, and driving equipment reliability
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities using Lean Manufacturing tools
  • Responsible for providing direction and leadership to maintenance personnel and contractors for safe and successful project implementation
  • Responsible for developing scope and budget for small scale capital projects

The estimated base salary range for this role is "$77,000 to $90,000" per year.
Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience and other relevant factors

The Project Engineer is accountable for the effective planning, development, and execution of plant level capital & non-capital projects.
