Wharton-Smith, Inc., a respected construction company, seeks a Project Engineer – Intern for our Jacksonville, FL regional office. This internship provides hands-on experience supporting project engineers and managers on planning, documentation, and field coordination.

You will assist with reviewing plans, bids, safety procedures, and daily tasks, contributing to timely project completion while upholding quality and compliance in a dynamic construction environment.

  • Coordinate and assist the Project Engineer & Project Manager with planning and completion of projects within assigned areas.
  • Review project plans and confer with management.
  • Review bids from contractors.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Data entry.
  • Assist the PM or PE with daily tasks.
