Job summary

Piping Technology & Products in Houston, TX is looking for a Project Engineer II to manage customer jobs from order to shipment. You will build and track orders, coordinate with shop, and ensure compliance with customer requirements and PT&P quality standards.

This is an experienced role; you will work with limited supervision, apply your technical knowledge to solve problems, and help drive on-time delivery across departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Engineer in manufacturing or piping.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Solid understanding of engineered products and drawings; piping experience preferred.
• Strong organization and ability to manage multiple jobs with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Run and manage orders from start to finish through engineering, purchasing, production, and shipping.
• Serve as primary contact with customers; address technical and schedule questions.
• Release information to shop and set delivery dates with production planning.
• Review drawings, BOMs, and purchase orders for accuracy against quotes.
• Coordinate across Engineering, Drafting, Purchasing, Manufacturing, QA to meet commitments.
• Identify root causes of issues and drive fixes with teams.
• Manage multiple jobs simultaneously with priorities.
• Assist Project Managers on larger jobs and mentor junior engineers.
