Job summary

The Walsh Group is hiring a Project Engineer II for its Transportation Division in Virginia Beach, VA. This role supports project teams through document control, coordination, procurement, quality checks, and subcontractor management on active transportation projects.

You will contribute to layout, surveying, safety, and progress reporting while collaborating with team members to plan and execute project activities efficiently.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Previous internship, co-op, or employment experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Document control (RFIs, submittals, change orders, claims, etc.)
• Assisting and supporting project team with daily project coordination
• Procurement of construction materials
• Quality Control / Quality Assurance checks
• Coordination of subcontractors
• Survey and project layout
• Weekly pictures for progress reports
• Manage construction equipment
• Safety management
• Project estimating

Education
