Job summary

JBT Marel in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Project Engineer – Poultry to develop engineering layouts and documentation based on proposal requirements and customer needs.

You will prepare complete engineering packages, review BOMs for accuracy, translate concepts into final requirements, and collaborate with Sales, Innovation and PM to ensure feasibility and on‑time delivery. This hybrid role requires a degree and AutoCAD experience.

Qualifications

• Degree preferred.
• AutoCAD or similar experience.
• 1+ year of technical experience.
• Project experience preferred.
• Agile PLM experience preferred.
• You must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Develops detailed engineering layouts and documentation based on proposal requirements and customer needs.
• Prepares complete engineering packages including updated layouts, specifications, and project documentation.
• Reviews BOMs and technical details to ensure system accuracy, completeness, and alignment with the project scope.
• Translates proposal concepts into finalized engineering requirements and identifies system gaps that need clarification.
• Evaluates information from third-party providers and determines whether it aligns with project requirements.
• Collaborates with Sales, Innovation, and Project Management to confirm feasibility and resolve issues.
• Reviews production drawings and configuration details prior to release and identifies required corrections.
• Provides input into hour estimates and supports planning for engineering tasks based on project complexity.
• Ensures engineering deliverables are accurate, consistent, and ready for downstream teams.
• Prepares updates and summaries that communicate engineering status and key decisions.

As our Project Engineer– you will report to the Manager, Project Engineering Poultry.

On a given day, you may:

Travel & Location

• This position is hybrid reporting into our Gainesville facility

• Travel up to 10% including international
