Job summary

ONE SHOT AUTOMATION LLC is seeking a Project Engineer – Ignition/SCADA Programmer to design, deploy, and support advanced SCADA solutions for industrial automation projects. You will program HMI screens, alarms, historians, and reports in Ignition, and integrate with PLCs and databases.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Inductive Automation's Ignition SCADA platform.
• Experience with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar) is a strong plus.
• Experience with OPC-UA, Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP and industrial communication protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy Ignition/SCADA applications for industrial automation projects.
• Program and configure HMI screens, historian, alarming, and reporting modules within Ignition.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define project requirements and deliver tailored automation solutions.
• Integrate SCADA systems with PLCs, databases, and third-party devices using OPC-UA, Modbus, and other communication protocols.
• Perform commissioning, on-site startup, and troubleshooting of SCADA and control systems.
• Develop and maintain project documentation including functional specs, network diagrams, and I/O lists.
• Provide ongoing technical support and system improvements for existing client installations.

• Excellent communication skills and a client-focused mindset
• Willingness to travel to client sites for commissioning and support as needed
