Job summary

Pinnacle Engineering Group is seeking a full-time Project Engineer I to join a team delivering civil engineering design, land surveying, and related services. The role focuses on developing foundational skills, learning from mentors, and contributing to project design and delivery under supervision.

You will prepare calculations, basic drafting, and basic analyses, using Civil 3D and MS Office, while progressing toward licensure and increasing responsibilities within a collaborative office

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Basic CAD drafting experience: Civil 3D.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Acquire knowledge base and skills through mentoring and self-directed learning.
• Prepare engineering calculations, design elements, basic drafting and analyses under supervision.
• Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, reports, and other project documentation.
• Use basic CAD drafting skills (Civil 3D) and office software proficiently.
• Apply established design methods, codes, standards and procedures.
• Support the team in estimating task durations and communicating delays.
• Perform work in accordance with company standards, safety policies and ethics.
• Seek guidance from senior engineers and apply feedback to improve performance.
• Perform additional duties to meet project and company goals.
• Maintain professionalism, safety, and compliance with standards.
• Determine when and where to obtain direction on modified techniques and new approaches.
