Job summary

Revamp Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer I for our EPC Client Services team to support utility-scale solar, BESS, substation and related infrastructure projects under the direction of a Senior Project Manager.

You will manage defined scopes, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, track schedules and budgets, maintain document control, and identify risks, with day-to-day lead on smaller projects. Strong organization, follow-through and judgment are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field; or an associate's degree with substantial relevant experience.
  • Some project management experience in engineering consulting, renewable energy, or similar.
  • Ability to track schedules and basic project financials; support invoicing under PM direction.
  • Strong documentation management: meeting notes, action logs, RFIs, submittals, records.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve complex project issues.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects.

Role Summary

The Project Engineer I within our EPC Client Services team supports utility-scale solar, BESS, substation, and related infrastructure projects. This role operates under the direction of a Senior Project Manager. You’ll manage defined scopes, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, track schedules and budgets, maintain document control, and proactively identify risks. For smaller projects, you may serve as the day-to-day lead with oversight. Strong organization, follow-through, and judgment are essential.

Duties & Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Execution
  • Manage defined project scopes under the direction of a Project Manager, ensuring alignment with contract requirements and client expectations.
  • Coordinate internal discipline teams and external subconsultants to support timely and accurate deliverables.
  • Track project schedules, budgets, and progress against milestones; proactively identify risks or scope changes and escalate as appropriate.
  • Support preparation and submission of monthly invoicing and assist with financial tracking.
  • Maintain organized document control, including meeting minutes, action items, RFIs, submittals, and record drawings.
  • Review deliverables for completeness and conformance to project standards prior to submission.
  • Apply established project management procedures with sound judgment and increasing independence.
Client & Stakeholder Coordination
  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for internal team members and support client communications under the direction of a Project Manager.
  • Participate in client, consultant, and subcontractor meetings; prepare agendas, document key decisions, and track action items.
  • Ensure alignment between client requirements, project scope, and internal execution plans.
  • Communicate schedule updates, risks, and scope clarifications clearly and promptly.
  • Coordinate with discipline leads to confirm deliverables meet client standards and contractual obligations.
  • Support proposal development efforts through coordination of scope inputs, schedule assumptions, and project data.
Collaboration & Team Support
  • Coordinate closely with discipline leads to ensure tasks are clearly defined, assigned, and delivered on schedule.
  • Facilitate internal alignment across engineering, drafting, and project management teams.
  • Provide clear status updates and escalate issues that may impact scope, schedule, or budget.
  • Support workload planning by helping prioritize deliverables across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, accountable team environment through proactive communication and follow-through.
  • Mentor junior project engineers or support staff on project processes and documentation standards as appropriate.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform essential duties including meeting project deliverables and deadlines.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned or directed.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field or an associate’s degree in a related field plus substantial relevant industry experience.
  • Some level of of project management experience in an engineering consulting environment, renewable energy, or similar industry, including internships and coops.
  • Demonstrated ability to track schedules and basic project financials and support invoicing under PM direction.
  • Strong capability managing project documentation, meeting notes, action logs, RFIs/submittals, and deliverable tracking with high accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve complex project issues.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Detail-oriented with a high standard for accuracy and quality.
Preferred
  • Experience in renewable energy engineering, development, or construction environments.
  • Familiarity with the renewable energy project development lifecycle.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and subconsultants.
