Job summary

CEDARVILLE Engineering Group, LLC (CEG) seeks a professional PROJECT ENGINEER to join our established team in the Montgomery County area. You will plan, design, and oversee infrastructure projects, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery while coordinating with clients, architects, and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate will have experience in design development using CAD tools, cost estimation, and the ability to manage budgets and resources.

Qualifications

  • Plan, design and oversee construction and maintenance of horizontal infrastructure: roads, parking areas, culverts, stormwater facilities, water and sewer systems.
  • Prepare applications, calculations, reports and studies for permits.
  • Liaise with clients and professionals including architects, subcontractors; review plans for compliance.
  • Manage budgets and project resources; schedule purchases and delivery.
  • Ensure projects run smoothly and are completed within budget and on time.
  • 1-2 related experience.

Job Description
  • Plan, design and oversee construction and maintenance of horizontal infrastructure, such as roads, parking areas, culverts, stormwater management facilities, water and sewage systems.
  • Technical and feasibility studies including site investigations
  • Prepare applications, calculations, reports and studies for presentation and compliance to local, county, and state requirements for permits.
  • Liaising with clients and a variety of professionals including architects, subcontractors, etc.
  • Peer reviews of Subdivision and Land Development plans for compliance to appropriate municipal regulations.
  • Compiling job specifications and estimates.
  • Resolve design and development problems.
  • Managing budgets and project resources.
  • Schedule material and equipment purchases and delivery
  • Ensuring projects run smoothly and structures are completed within budget and on time.
  • Construction-Site Investigations, studying of survey reports, topographical, aerial and geographical maps, testing of soil and construction material.
  • Feasibility Studies including estimating the cost of a project which includes material, labor and more. Studying of various government regulations and permitting requirements
  • Design Development using software to design plans according to CEDARVILLE CADD standards and within the specified governmental guidelines.
  • Risk Management by assessing risk factors regarding labor and material, and providing for safety measures and equipment.
  • Deadlines: Considering the budget and timeline to finish the project.
  • Present the progress of the project or any findings in person or in progress reports Clients, authorities or public.
  • Monitor, manage, and control the smooth functioning of every aspect of the project
  • 1-2 related experience
