Job summary

Aqua, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer for the Ohio region to provide engineering support across divisions and manage projects from planning through closeout.

You will oversee tanks, booster stations, lift stations, and WTP/WWTP projects, coordinating with teams to meet deadlines and budgets. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Engineering with an EIT or Ohio PE (preferred), 2+ years in water/wastewater, strong communication, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Powerplant, and SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; EIT or ability to achieve within 12 months.
• Professional Engineer license in Ohio preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in water and wastewater preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of Ten States Standards, AWWA Standards, WEC Standards.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel/Word).
• Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings.

This role is under the direction of the Engineering Manager and is responsible for engineering support to all Divisions and Departments of the Ohio region.

Responsible for design and management of assigned projects within Ohio including the repair or replacement of tanks, booster stations, lift stations, WTP projects, WWTP projects, regulating vaults, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Responsible for planning for assigned divisions/systems.
• Coordination of monthly capital meetings with operational personnel, tracking capital and reporting to senior management on capital of assigned projects.
• Driver/coordinator of the 5-year capital plan for assigned divisions/systems.
• Utilize Powerplant and SAP for assigned projects.
• Responsible for submittal of any required permits and approvals.
• Responsible for obtaining necessary easements for assigned projects.
• Responsible for project through entire lifecycle; selection, planning including obtaining any, permitting, construction, close out activities.
• Responsible for approving pay applications and the processing of invoices.
• Completes all necessary paperwork needed for accounting to close the project.
• Other duties as assigned.

SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL OR REGISTRATION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required. Selected candidate must have Engineer In Training (E.I.T.); or ability to achieve within 12 months of hire.
• Professional Engineer license in the State of Ohio (Preferred)
• Two or more years of experience in water and wastewater is preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written and organization skills are required as is the ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects.
• Knowledge of Ten States Standards, AWWA Standards, WEC Standards.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
• Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings.
• Communication skills through plan sets.
