Responsibilities

• Primarily performs duties in planning for commercial projects.

• Collect and assemble O&M materials.
• Purchase Order and Subcontract Scope analysis and drafting.
• Material purchasing and expediting.
• Value engineering design and proposals.
• Coordinating with Subcontractors and Vendors.
• Contract document distribution to job site, vendors and subcontractors.
• Visits project sites to monitor progress conformance to plans and standards.
• Coordinate facility startup activities.
• Provide the Project Manager with support and accurate information to maximize project management effectiveness.

Wharton-Smith, Inc. is currently seeking an experiencedProject Engineer to work in theHeavy Civil Construction Division in theJacksonville, FL area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the completion of specific project tasks as assigned by the Project Manager. In this position, the candidate will interface with the estimating division (Project Engineers will gain/enhance experience in estimating), Operations Coordinator (administrative functions are required to complete many assigned tasks) and the Project Superintendent.
