Job summary

Cloudpoint Geospatial is seeking a Project Engineer to support its project delivery team and grow into increasing project management responsibility. The Project Engineer will apply their civil engineering experience and knowledge on a variety of projects, support multiple project managers, perform quality assurance and quality control, and learn and apply GIS concepts and workflows.

The ideal candidate is an organized, analytical, self-motivated engineer who can manage multiple priorities,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 1 year strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and willing to learn new technical concepts.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Apply civil engineering knowledge to project assignments.
• Support multiple project managers and project teams across a variety of projects.
• Perform QA/QC on work products before delivery to project managers or clients.
• Manage multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Learn and apply GIS concepts, tools, and company workflows.
• Communicate project information clearly through email, Slack, Trello, and other internal channels.
• Work independently on assigned tasks while seeking direction when appropriate.
• Contribute to improving project workflows, quality, and efficiency.
• Develop technical, client-service, and project-management skills with the goal of taking on increasing project responsibility.
