Milwaukee Tool in Milwaukee, WI seeks a Project Engineer who will use engineering and project management skills to drive New Product Development projects with support from a manager. The role emphasizes CAD-based design, process evaluation, and collaboration across global teams.

You will work with manufacturing, suppliers, and quality teams to move concepts toward production readiness, with travel as needed.

Qualificações

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or educational equivalent is required; Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Willingness to travel domestically and overseas (mainly Asia) several times a year.
• Ability to manage several simultaneous projects is a plus.
• Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with CAD is required; NX preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead small to medium scale engineering projects; provide engineering support on mid-level projects under supervision.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Advanced Quality Engineering, Product Marketing, Industrial Design, Purchasing, Finance, and other departments.
• Evaluate designs for cost, materials, heat treatment, and finishes; recommend improvements.
• Maintain communication with manufacturing cells and suppliers; conduct on-site visits and troubleshooting.
• Monitor and track project progress; provide weekly status updates to senior management and team.
• Order and perform tests per established procedures; interpret data and make design recommendations.

As a Project Engineer for Milwaukee you will be utilizing your engineering skills and project management ability to execute New Product Development projects with support from your manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Leads small to medium scale engineering projects. Provides engineering support on mid-level complexity projects under the supervision of department manager.
• Work cross-functionally and globally with Advanced Quality Engineering, Product Marketing, Industrial Design, Purchasing, Finance, and numerous other departments.
• Evaluate product designs relative to the selection, cost and resolution of problems associated with materials, heat treatment and finishes.
• Maintain regular communication with manufacturing cells and suppliers to advance product development and production readiness. Conduct on-site visits and troubleshooting analyses as needed.
• Monitor & Track project progress and provide weekly project status updates to senior management and the project team.
• Request and perform tests per established procedures.
• Interpret data and make corresponding design recommendations.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or educational equivalent is required. Preferred degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Ability to travel domestically and overseas (mainly Asia) several times of year as needed.
• Ability to manage several simultaneous projects is a plus.
• Highly developed Mechanical/Electrical aptitude is required including a broad knowledge of engineering materials used in small appliances or power tools, and an understanding of the manufacturing processes associated with these materials.
• Ability to use CAD is required. NX is preferred.
• To be successful in this role you will need to be a self-starter who has strong critical thinking skill and is willing to learn design, testing, and manufacturing processes to solve problems.
