Eversource Energy in Massachusetts invites a seasoned engineer to join the Policy & Compliance team, planning and overseeing pipeline safety regulatory assignments across MA, CT and at the federal level. You will analyze impacts of new regulations, coordinate implementation, collaborate with legal counsel, train teams, and monitor industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.

Participates in the planning, development, scheduling and performance of engineering assignments related to new and existing pipeline safety regulations in CT, MA and at the federal level.
This position requires the application of engineering practices as directed by the Manager, Policy & Compliance or their designee.
Technical Knowledge/Skill: Knowledge of gas distribution construction and maintenance work practices and procedures. Knowledge of applicable governmental codes and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements. Familiarity with MS Office.
Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology or related discipline.
Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of related engineering experience. Gas experience is a plus.
Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver's License required.
Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required. Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary. This position is categorized as safety-sensitive for the purpose of drug testing. Successful applicants shall be subject to a pre‑assignment drug test if the individual is currently in a non‑safety sensitive position. As an employee in this position, the individual shall be subject to random drug testing. A positive drug test will result in disciplinary action.

The annual salary range for this position is: $116,370.00-$129,300.00.
