Job summary

Fuel Tech, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to manage day-to-day engineering activities, support installation, start-up, and troubleshooting at project sites. You will prepare detailed designs, coordinate with vendors, review documentation, and drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery across projects, reporting to the Project Manager.

Some travel may be required. Requires a BS in Engineering with 3–5 years of project engineering experience; familiarity with boiler-based systems and control

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering, preferably Mechanical.
  • 3–5 years of project engineering experience with increasing responsibility.
  • Experience with utility boilers, industrial furnaces and related equipment is essential.
  • Proficient with Spreadsheet, Presentation and Word Processing software.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares detailed project engineering designs for small to medium projects including development of the flow and pressure tables for the process flow diagram, pipe sizing, instrumentation selection, and pump and control valve sizing and selection.
  • Generates and processes purchase orders and follows-up on delivery of items, coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
  • Schedules equipment shipping and field startup, commissioning, and documentation of results.
  • Communicates project status through reports, minutes, and action lists.
