Job summary

Garver is seeking an Entry-Level Project Engineer in the Oklahoma City area to join our Water team. You will work under a Project Manager on a multi-discipline design team delivering water and wastewater projects, reports, and specifications.

The role emphasizes engineering calculations, detailed designs, and client collaboration to exceed expectations. Strong communication and a foundation in MS Office are essential as you grow with Garver.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, or biological/biosystems engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • Registered as an Engineer In Training (EIT) or able to obtain in the next 6 months
  • Strong communications skills
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook
  • 0-1 years internship related to water/wastewater design (preferred)
  • Master’s degree in civil, environmental, or biological/biosystems engineering (preferred)
  • Microstation, WaterCAD, or SewerCAD experience (preferred)
  • GPS-X or BioWin process modeling experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering calculations and detailed design for water/wastewater projects
  • Produce design phase deliverables including reports, memos, manuals, plans, sections, details, and specifications
  • Collaborate with Project Manager and multi-disciplinary design engineers
  • Interface with clients to meet expectations and ensure service quality
  • Support development of cost-effective designs for long-term operational efficiency

Garver is seeking a Project Engineer (Entry-Level) in Oklahoma City to join our established Water team. The Project Engineer will be led by a Project Manager on a team consisting of multi-discipline design engineers focused on the production of design phase deliverables including reports, technical memoranda, design manuals, plans, sections, details and specifications. The Project Engineer must be capable of working closely with clients to ensure their expectations of service are exceeded.

This position will be responsible for engineering calculations and detailed design for a variety of projects, such as:

  • Water distribution and wastewater collection, including pumping and storage
  • Sewer distribution and collection, pumping and lifts
  • Water and wastewater treatment plants
  • Improvements and retrofitting of existing treatment facilities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or biological/biosystems engineering from an ABET accredited program
