D&C seeks to hire a self-motivated and ambitious Project Engineer to assist in creating safer streets through the development and enhancement of pedestrian facilities and plazas, cycling networks, and transit networks, which aim to reduce preventable injuries and deaths using various design measures such as motor vehicle traffic calming and road diets. The selected candidate will report to the Borough Director of Design and develop Street Improvement Projects (SIPs) with a focus on cycling and micromobility facilities. Key responsibilities will include conducting field investigations and site measurements, developing street designs using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D design software, and collaborating with project stakeholders to advance projects from concept development through design and implementation.

The selected candidate must be proficient in AutoCAD for plan development; experience with Civil 3D is preferred. The successful candidate will be responsible for complying with all agency safety policies and procedures, contributing to a safe work environment, and ensuring that required safety equipment and personal protective gear are always used appropriately.
