Job summary

Carrier Process Equipment Group (CPEG) in Louisville, KY is seeking a Project Engineer to manage industrial processing equipment projects from concept through delivery and startup. This onsite role requires collaboration with design teams, vendors, and customers to ensure execution on time and within spec.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with up to 5+ years of experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency in mechanical engineering concepts.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering required.
• 0 to 5+ years of experience required.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Design and cost custom-designed processing machinery.
• Create technical and pricing proposals.
• Conduct and supervise laboratory testing on customer-supplied materials.
• Develop technical specifications, processing parameters, and operating instructions.
• Coordinate with designers on equipment drawings.
• Provide technical consultation and troubleshoot field problems.
• Manage multiple projects across phases and delegate tasks.
• Complete documentation per customer specs.
• Assist with equipment startup on site or remotely.
