Job summary

Craftsmen Industries in Saint Charles, MO is seeking a Project Engineer to ensure timely, cost-effective completion of custom mobile solutions, including trailers and truck bodies. You will lead design, development, and interfaces with sales, production, quality, and purchasing.

The role requires a BS in engineering and 2–4 years of project management and large-assembly design experience, with proficiency in SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, and BIM tools. Travel ~3% and a valid driver's license are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
• 2–4 years project management experience in a custom engineering and manufacturing environment.
• 2–4 years large assembly design and development experience.
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.100 and reference standards, and AWS D1.1 and 1.2.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and in Wrike or MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead design and development of products for mobile solutions (trailers, truck bodies, shelters/containers).
• Create 3D model geometry and associated mechanical drawings.
• Provide fabrication and construction oversight and engineering leadership for components and subsystems.
• Maintain configuration control and engineering records.
• Assist in customer meetings, conference calls, and site visits, as required.
