Job summary

EGC Construction, an operating unit of Messer Construction Co., is seeking a Project Engineer Co-op to join our Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati team. This role supports the Project Engineer and Project Manager in delivering safe, quality construction projects while applying LEAN planning and scheduling.

Ideal candidate is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, has strong organizational and communication skills, and is willing to work non-traditional

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree. Civil Engineering/Construction Management or related field preferred.
• Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work non-traditional hours
• Possess all auditory, speaking and communicating capabilities
• Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50lbs., seeing and reading

Responsibilities

• Support our Zero-Injury Safety Program
• Provide site and building layout
• Assist shop drawing and submittal review process
• Support built-in quality using our three phase quality control process
• Help support and coordinate scheduled construction activities
• Expedite building components & materials to maintain schedule
• Assist change order management process
• Support document control and reporting
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required
