Job summary

Southern Ionics Inc. in West Point, Mississippi, is seeking a Project Engineer to join our corporate engineering team. You will support projects from conception through completion in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

The role focuses on designing, procuring, installation, startup, and ongoing technical support for process facilities and equipment, while coordinating with environmental, transportation, and safety teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 1–5 years of experience.
• Strong engineering theory and design knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Willingness to adapt in a small organization and supervise consultants.

Responsibilities

• Design, specify, procure, install, and start-up for facilities and new operations.
• Provide technical support to plant operations and identify improvements.
• Support pilot plant programs with design, procedures, data analysis and reporting.
• Coordinate designs with Environmental, Transportation, and Safety teams.
