Umicore Belgium forges ahead in stationary catalysts and advanced materials, seeking a Project Engineer to lead capital projects from conception to closeout in a manufacturing setting. You will drive safety, budget adherence and on-time delivery while coordinating across operations, maintenance, engineering, procurement and external partners.

The role emphasizes process improvement, Lean, Six Sigma and data-driven decision-making, with a BS in engineering and 4–6 years of manufacturing

Qualifications

• BS Engineering; Mechanical/Industrial/Chemical focus preferred.
• 4–6 years of manufacturing experience.
• Familiarity with project management principles.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Strong problem-solving and data interpretation skills.
• Excellent cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects ranging from $1MM to $3MM from concept to closeout.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
• Coordinate activities across operations, maintenance, engineering, quality, procurement, contractors and external firms.
• Prepare and present project updates, business cases, and capital appropriation requests.
