Job summary

FITS is seeking a seasoned Project Manager for Capital Projects supporting the Puerto Rico/US market. You will lead project lifecycle activities, coordinate with consultants, vendors, and contractors, and ensure on-time delivery within regulated environments. Requires a B.E.

in Engineering with 5+ years PM experience, bilingual in Spanish and English, and strong documentation and change-control skills. You’ll provide technical interpretation of design documents and maintain quality across all

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least 5 years of project management experience in a regulated industry.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Experience with capital projects (construction, facilities & utilities) and all project stages: documentation, change control, business cases, scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical interpretation of design documents.
• Execute work by quality standards and site requirements.
• Perform assignments independently with minimal guidance, handling complex problems.
• Provide direction and regular contact to consultants, vendors, and contractors.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all parties.
• Keep site management informed of circumstances affecting projects.
• Prepare weekly project reports detailing progress.
• Review drawings for inconsistencies and conflicts.
• Interface between crafts and engineering to resolve drawing issues.
• Coordinate with subcontracts, material management, project controls, and automation tools.
• Coordinate system completion, turnover, requisition materials, and coordinate inspections.

• Provide technical interpretation of design documents.

• Provide direction and regular contact to consultants, vendors, and contractors assigned to the project.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all parties.
• Keep site management informed of all circumstances that could affect projects.
• Prepare weekly project reports detailing project progress.
• Review and compare discipline drawings for inconsistencies, omitted information conflicts, etc.
• Interface between craft and engineering to resolve drawingissues.
• Interact with disciplines: subcontracts, material management, project controls, and automation tools.
• Coordinate system completion and turnover, requisition project materials, equipment, and services prepare quality control forms, and coordinate inspection.
