Job summary

Concrete Strategies, Inc. seeks a results-driven project controls professional to support job setup, cost tracking, and on-site activities. You’ll assist with quantity tracking, material and equipment procurement, and progress reporting while coordinating with the operations team and GC/Owner.

The role emphasizes safety compliance, quality control, and efficient use of resources. Candidates should have 2–5 years construction experience, a Bachelor’s in CM or engineering, and strong

  • 2-5 years of experience in construction management or a related role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with adaptability and teamwork.
  • Energetic, motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Able to walk job sites, climb ladders and work on multi-floor scaffolding.

Responsibilities

  • Project safety compliance and adherence to procedures.
  • Job cost spread and estimate familiarity to monitor budgets.
  • Participation in project sequencing and scheduling to meet deadlines.
  • Job quantity/progress tracking and production analysis.
  • Participation in project cost reporting and invoice coding/approval.
  • Material/equipment procurement and change order tracking.
  • Coordinate with GC/Owner and CSI Operations manager on resources.

Job description

This position serves as support for operations on the jobs in which they are involved. Responsibilities range from participation in initial project set up and buyout, cost spread/estimate familiarity, job quantity tracking, on-site daily activity involvement, concrete material tracking, equipment and manpower productivity tracking, invoice approval, extra work ticket tracking, participation in job cost reporting, project safety compliance, quality control compliance, production analysis/tracking

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Project safety compliance

Education/Experience/Attributes/Requirements
  • 2-5 years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or Engineer recommended.
  • Basic/General knowledge of construction principles/practices required
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individuals
  • Energetic and highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency
  • Highly entrepreneurial and self-motivated, with the ability to work equally well on own as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to walk the job site, climb ladders, and multi floor scaffolding.
