Job summary

Borja Engineering & Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee all aspects of construction projects, ensuring on-time progress and budget adherence. The successful candidate will apply deep knowledge of building methods and lead project teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating schedules, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering high-quality project outcomes while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Construction Project Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of construction management methods and building codes.
• Proficient with Excel and construction management software.
• Osha 30 and EM 385 certifications required.
• Ability to break large projects into manageable steps.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor assigned engineering projects.
• Monitor compliance to codes, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specs.
• Interact daily with clients to interpret needs and represent them in the field.
• Quality control of budget, schedule, plans, personnel performance; report progress.
• Assign responsibilities and mentor project team.
• Coordinate with project manager and other participants to provide support.
• Review deliverables and initiate corrective actions.
• Manage all aspects of the construction project.
• Ensure on-site professionals comply with safety regulations.
• Schedule milestones and ensure progress.
• Estimate costs and keep the project within budget.
• Coordinate subcontractors and outside contractors.
• Report on progress and identify potential issues.

Job Summary

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of the construction projects and ensure they progress on schedule and within budget. The ideal candidate is an expert in building methods and has a proven track record of successful construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects


• Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications


• Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field


• Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status


• Assign responsibilities and mentor project team


• Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support


• Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions


• Assist in Manage all aspects of the construction project


• Ensure all professionals on site comply with building and safety regulations


• Schedule key deliverables and milestones and ensure progress is being made


• Estimate costs and keep the project within budget


• Coordinate subcontractors and outside contractors


• Report on progress


• Identify and mitigate any potential issues that may arise

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred


• Previous experience as a Construction Project Engineer


• Deep understanding of construction management methods and processes


• Advanced knowledge of construction methods, building products, and building codes


• Strong leadership and crisis resolution skills


• Familiar with Microsoft Excel and construction management software


• Ability to break large projects into small steps


• Must have Osha 30


• Must be EM 385 Certified


• Minimum 3+ years\' experience
