Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join its Raleigh-area team. You will support planning, design, and delivery of municipal water and infrastructure projects, collaborating with engineers and project managers to develop effective solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in water resources or municipal engineering.
  • EIT or PE license in North Carolina or active licensed status.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of water resources and municipal infrastructure projects.
  • Support project planning, analysis, and execution alongside senior engineers.
  • Prepare technical reports, calculations, and engineering documentation.
  • Perform hydraulic and hydrologic analysis to support design solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and public agencies to deliver projects.
  • Ensure designs meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
  • Contribute to problem-solving and development of practical engineering solutions.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline

  • Experience working with municipalities or public‑sector clients is advantageous
  • Familiarity with standard engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
