Sunbelt Rentals in Maryland seeks a Project Engineer I to perform engineering design and calculations for excavation and structural shoring schemes supporting Sunbelt product lines. Under the direction of a professional engineer, you will produce project calculations and drawings for engineering firm's equipment.

You will need a Civil Engineering degree with a structural or geotechnical focus, plus familiarity with structural analysis, mechanics of materials, and soil analysis.

The position requires knowledge of basic structural engineering analysis and geotechnical soil properties. The Project Engineer I uses engineering principles for structural analysis and design to produce project calculations and drawings under the direction of a professional engineer.Position Responsibilities:Prepares calculations and drawings under the direction of a professional engineerCreates drawings in support of Sunbelt equipmentAnalyzes reports, project construction drawings, maps, testing data, topographical and geologic data to determine design parametersInteracts with customers, sales, and operationsMay be required to attend meetings or job sites with customers or sales/operations staffOther duties as assignedRequirements:Education & Experience:A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Civil Engineering, with a concentration in structural or geotechnical engineering, from an accredited four (4) year university or collegeFamiliarity with structural analysis, mechanics of materials, and soil analysis.Proficient in Excel, Word, Mathcad, and AutoCAD or REVITBase Pay Range: $71,269.00 - 97,995.70Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
