Job summary

CTI Computech International in Town of Woodbury, NY, is seeking a manufacturing/engineering professional to manage projects, production elements, supplier relations, and BOM creation. You will design, document, and implement cost-reductive changes while coordinating with Production, Purchasing, Quality and Logistics teams.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering with at least 3 years of experience, strong CAD skills (SolidWorks or Solid Edge), and familiarity with ERP/MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and preferably 3+ years of experience.
• Proficiency with CAD systems (SolidWorks or Solid Edge).
• Ability to read drawings and specifications; work in metric and imperial units.
• Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, coatings, assemblies).
• Experience with PCB, cables, connectors and electronics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects and oversee elements of production within the company.

Essential functions:

• Manage projects and oversee elements of production in the company.
• Manage suppliers, including visiting them when required.
• Create Production files including drawings, manual instructions, ATP, ATR, etc.
• Create and manage BOM for multiple programs.
• Design and implement cost-reductive changes.
• Develop relationships with new suppliers.
• Participate in assemblies and testing.
• Provide data to management for quotations.
• Provide guidance to technicians.
• Report to a CTO and work with the Production, Purchasing, Quality and Logistics teams.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (preferably 3 years’ experience).
