Job summary

Doka USA in Tomball, TX is seeking a Project Engineer to lead the planning, design, and execution of formwork projects. This on-site role reports to the Engineering Manager and emphasizes collaboration with clients, project managers, and field teams.

You will develop plans and specifications, perform calculations, and ensure compliance with codes and safety standards while coordinating with engineers and construction professionals to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in formwork and shoring design is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• PE license is a major plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed formwork and shoring designs based on project specifications and structural requirements.
• Create drawings, models, and calculations using AutoCAD, Revit, and related tools.

Job Description

As a Project Engineer for Doka USA, you will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and execution of construction projects. You will collaborate with our clients, project managers, and construction teams to ensure the successful implementation of formwork and shoring solutions that meet project requirements and exceed client expectations. This role will be based out of our Southwest branch located in Tomball, TX and will report into our Engineering Manager. This will be an on-site position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with project managers and clients to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Develop detailed plans and designs for formwork and shoring systems based on project specifications and structural requirements and utilize industry-standard software and tools(i.e., AutoCAD, Revit, ect.). to create accurate drawings, models, and calculations.
• Provide technical expertise and guidanceto project teams and clients regarding formwork and shoring solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction professionals to address technical challenges and optimize project performance.
• Identify and select appropriate formwork and shoring materials based on project requirements, budget constraints, and site conditions.
• Ensure that formwork and shoring systems comply with industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in formwork and shoring design, preferably in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD), structural analysis tools,and project management software.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license a major plus.
