DESCRIPTION:

Gordon Prill, Inc. is a dynamic Design-Build firm located in the heart of Silicon Valley in Sunnyvale, CA with a 45-year history of successfully delivering projects. Our client base consists of established clients in the aerospace, biotech, science, technology, and university markets, requiring innovative design solutions for research, testing, manufacturing and production facilities.

We are seeking new graduates, recent graduates, or those with up to 5 years of experience, who possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management or similar discipline wanting an exciting and rewarding career in Construction Management. This position involves assisting Gordon Prill’s on-site construction Project Managers and Superintendents with the day-to-day operation of managing construction of a variety of industrial, institutional, lab and office projects. For motivated candidates, this position can be a precursor to early advancement towards becoming an Assistant Project Manager or Superintendent.

Access Control

Housekeeping, Staging, Material Handling

• Subcontractor and Client relations
• Attend & Participate in Weekly Owner – Architect – Contractor Meetings
• Attend & Participate in Weekly Subcontractor Coordination Meetings
• General communication & correspondence with project Stakeholders
• Jobsite Safety
• Implementation of Gordon Prill’s Injury and Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP)
• Implementation of Subcontractors’ IIPP
• Implementation of Site Specific Safety Plans (SSSP)
• Daily / Weekly Safety Inspections
• Attend / Participate in / Conduct Subcontractor Safety Meetings
• Implementation of Gordon Prill Code of Safe Practices
• Quality Assurance and Quality Control
• Monitor, measure, document quality assurance program
• Scheduling
• Track Master Project Schedule
• Develop & Track Rolling Schedules

In addition, this position includes working with in-house Architects, Engineers, Estimators and Senior Management on pre-construction and purchasing associated with new projects and potential project opportunities.
