Job summary

Samet Corporation in Savannah, GA is hiring an entry-level Project Engineer to support the Project Manager and project team from project kickoff to closeout.

You will obtain construction related permits, assist in subcontractor solicitation and contracting, ensure notices are filed and posted, and update logs and status reports to keep stakeholders informed. This is a hands-on role with growth potential in a reputable contractor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• Experience with a general contractor in a full-time role or through an internship.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining construction related permits from local agencies.
• Assisting in subcontractor solicitation and contracting.
• Ensuring proper notices are filed and posted.
• Updating a variety of project logs, status reports and communication.

• Other duties as needed to support the project team

The successful candidate will have:

• A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related field of study
• Experience working with a general contractor either in a full-time role or through an internship
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
