Job summary

Shimmick is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the Daly City Vista Grande Drainage Basin Improvements Project in Daly City, CA. You will work with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and design teams to ensure technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and adherence to schedules and budgets.

Minimum 6+ years of heavy civil construction experience with earthworks/concrete structures is required; a Bachelor's degree (Engineering/Construction Management preferred) and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years of heavy civil construction experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Heavy civil project experience involving earthworks and/or concrete structures, as well as subcontractor management, work planning, and RFIs.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management.
• Experience working on heavy civil construction projects in Northern California.
• Pre-employment substance abuse test; sponsorship for U.S. work authorization not offered.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing day-to-day project activities and field operations.
• Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and track RFIs, change orders, and other project documentation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field crews.

In this role, you will work closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and design teams to ensure technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and adherence to project schedules and budgets.

The salary range for this position is between $120,000-$150,000 per year depending on experience and/or education.
