Job description

Trillium Construction is now hiring in Tracy, CA and Sacramento, CA. Our client specializes in commercial solar and is hiring Project Engineers for full‑time roles at $85K‑$100K.

Core Responsibilities

• Document Control & Coordination – Manage RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings; ensure design documents are distributed and tracked; maintain logs and compliance.
• Technical Support – Interpret plans for the field team; resolve design or constructability issues; coordinate technical details with architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Scheduling & Procurement – Track material deliveries and lead times; support procurement by preparing purchase orders and verifying vendor compliance.
• Quality & Safety – Monitor quality assurance processes; assist with safety documentation and compliance reporting.
• Cost & Change Management – Prepare cost estimates for change orders; track quantities and assist with progress billing.

Position in the GC’s Structure

• Reports to the Project Manager (PM) or Senior Project Engineer.
• Works closely with Superintendents in the field and subcontractors.
• Acts as a liaison between office and field operations.
