Clancy & Theys Construction Company is seeking an entry-level professional to explore tracks in construction management including field management, project management, preconstruction, VDC coordination, and safety.

You will support project teams in document control, permitting, site utilization planning, and quality/safety programs while gaining hands-on experience across disciplines and project stages, from set-up to close-out.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in CM/Engineering or related field with 0–3 years experience.
• Proficient in construction management software and design tools listed.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking abilities.

Responsabilités

• Follow and assist with development procedures for controlling contract documents.
• Assist project management administrator with set up of the project within the PM system.
• Assist the project team with the permitting process.
• Assist the superintendent in developing the site utilization plan.
• Assist with review and coordination of loss prevention, sustainability action plan, and quality control program.
• Review and process submittal data and shop drawings to support schedules.
• Prepare administrative logs (RFI, RFP, IRNs, Submittals, and document control).
• Serve as onsite quality manager verifying subcontractor deliveries meet submittal requirements.
• Attend project meetings and assist with progress reports and minutes.
• Distribute proposal change documents and assist with pricing for internal review.
• Ensure updates to as-built drawings reflect directives and changes.
• Perform quantity take-offs and assist preconstruction team with estimating.
• Assist with constructability reviews and development of construction documents.

This entry level position provides access to various career tracks within construction management, including field management, project management, preconstruction services, virtual design and construction coordination, and safety.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 2-year Associates Degree, preferred 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field, with 0-3 years progressive industry experience;
• Proficiency in packaged construction management and scheduling software; Bluebeam; AutoCAD, SketchUp or Revit; and Microsoft Office Suite;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; and
• Strong analytical, organizational and multi-tasking abilities are required in order to find solutions to various issues prioritize work and meet deadlines.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow and assist with development procedures for controlling contract documents;
• Assist project management administrator with set up of the project within the project management system;
• Assist the project team with the permitting process;
• Assist the superintendent in the development of the site utilization plan;
• Assist with the review and coordination of the loss prevention, sustainability action plan and quality control program;
• Responsible for proactive administration of reviewing and processing all submittal data and shop drawings to ensure project schedules are expedited and materials are delivered on time;
• Prepare and maintain administrative logs (RFI, RFP, IRNs, Submittals, and general document control;)
• Serve as the onsite quality manager for assigned trades by verifying subcontractor deliveries meet approved submittal requirements;
• Attend and participate in project meetings, and assist the project manager with the preparation of progress reports and meeting minutes;
• Assist with the distribution of proposal change documents to subcontractors/suppliers and assist with collecting pricing and/or preparing change proposal requirements for internal pricing review;
• Ensure all clarification/changes, directives, RFI’s, etc. are updated on the as-built drawings and are fully coordinated with the project team;
• Perform quantity take-offs and work alongside senior members of the preconstruction team to estimate a project; and
• Assist with constructability reviews and support the development of construction documents.
