Job summary

Apex Companies’ Providence, RI office is seeking a Project Engineer to support a diverse portfolio of municipal, transportation, and civil infrastructure projects.

In this role you’ll contribute through planning, design, and construction oversight, perform field observations, review contracts, and collaborate with clients and contractors to deliver successful project outcomes. Annual pay range: $88,000–$102,000 USD. We offer bonuses, strong benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
• 2+ years of civil engineering experience in design, construction-phase services, or infrastructure projects.
• EIT certification required.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and understanding of plans, specs, and accessibility standards.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, and construction of civil, stormwater, and transportation projects.
• Perform field observations and document construction activities and quantities.
• Review construction work for conformance with contract documents.

Our Providence, RI office is seeking a Project Engineer to support a diverse portfolio of municipal, transportation, and civil infrastructure projects.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support projects through planning, design, and construction of civil, stormwater, and transportation infrastructure projects, including roadway, sidewalk, curb ramp, pavement preservation, and Complete Streets improvements
• Perform field observations and document construction activities and quantities
• Review construction work for general conformance with contract documents
• Collaborate with project teams, clients, and contractors to help deliver successful project outcomes
• Work on a diverse portfolio of projects serving municipalities, private-sector clients, and state agencies.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• 2+ years of related civil engineering experience involving design, construction-phase services, or state or local infrastructure projects.
• EIT required
• A solid understanding of civil design principles, construction practices, and the interpretation of plans, specifications, and applicable accessibility standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
