Job summary

Vaughn Construction, a Texas-based regional commercial contractor, seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager and Superintendent with administrative and technical direction on a project.

You will manage information flow, prepare and process submittals and shop drawings, lead procurement activities, assist with subcontract and purchase orders, participate in quality control, maintain logs, and help with project closeout.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in construction, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of two semesters interning in the commercial construction industry with progressively demanding duties.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Project Manager and Project Superintendent in providing the overall administrative and technical direction of a project.
• Manages and processes project information, requests for information, and design team responses.
• Processes shop drawings, product data.
• Leads the material procurement process.
• Assists with subcontract and purchase order development.
• Participates in quality control.
• Expedites distribution of documents to all involved parties.
• Maintains official project logs and documentation files.
• Manages project close out.
• Team member of the Safety Leadership Engagement Program.
