Job summary

Sol é Construction Partners, LLC is seeking a Project Engineer to assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in coordinating construction efforts and delivering projects in the Sarasota/Bradenton area. The role involves collaboration with clients, contractors, and internal teams from pre-construction through final completion.

The ideal candidate will support planning, scheduling, and onsite activities, with a focus on meeting timeframe, budget, and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Florida is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and overseeing construction activities.
  • Coordinate and communicate with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Review engineering drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Ensure project compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
  • Maintain project documentation and reports, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure safety protocols.

We are currently seeking a talented and dedicated Project Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in managing and delivering complex construction projects.

Responsibilities and Requirements

Position Overview:

The Project Engineer will assist the Project Manager & Superintendent in coordinating construction efforts and ensuring that project goals are met within the established timeframe, budget, and quality standards. This role involves collaboration with a range of stakeholders including clients, contractors, and internal teams. The Project Engineer will support the execution of projects from pre-construction through final completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and overseeing construction activities.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Review engineering drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Ensure project compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
  • Maintain project documentation and reports, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure all work meets project specifications and industry standards.
  • Preform Pre-Construction, In-Progress & Construction Complete Photos and Field Reports
  • Must be able to work outside - 8 Hours a day on an active Construction site
  • Must be able to lift/pull 50 lbs.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED is a requirement - College Graduate preferred.
  • Entry level position - experience in Construction or Engineering is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Florida is preferred, but not required.
  • Valid Driver's License is required
  • Reliable transportation is required
