Job summary

Plansee Group USA in Towanda, PA is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead capital equipment installation projects within a high- tech metals environment. You will collaborate with plant engineering, maintenance and other departments to design, install and commission equipment, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a BS in an engineering discipline and strong project management skills including budgeting, vendor management and cross-functional communication.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor of Science or higher in an engineering field.
• Proven project management skills with ability to manage moderately-sized capital projects ($10k–$1M).
• Strong communication, teamwork and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management for capital equipment installations in a team environment.
• Design equipment and processes; communicate tech details to design staff.
• Coordinate with maintenance, manufacturing, and plant services to troubleshoot equipment and processes.
• Ensure adherence to OSHA and industry standards; manage budgets and vendor quotes.
• Direct contracted vendors during installations and support safety/environmental compliance.

Position type: Exempt

Position Overview: Project management of capital equipment installations.

Responsibilities Would Include:

• Work in a team environment with plant engineering, maintenance and department personnel. Attend plant engineering project and safety meetings.

• Equipment and Process Design. Effectively communicate equipment and process engineering information to the design staff. Provide technical assistance to the maintenance, manufacturing, and plant services departments to assist in troubleshooting equipment, instrumentation, and process problems.

• Have knowledge of OSHA and other applicable industry standards. Project Management of Moderately-sized Capital projects ($10k - $1M). Project Estimating and Budgeting.

• Time management and Gantt charting. Solicit and evaluate product and service quotations from various vendors.

• Interface with and direct contracted vendors during equipment and process installations. Participate in GTP environmental and safety activities to ensure a safe and environmentally compliant workplace.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science or higher in an Engineering discipline such as Chemical, Electrical Power or Controls, Facilities or Mechanical Engineering.4-8 years of proven technical ability and experience.

• Project Management skills. Six Sigma and 5S skills preferred

• Computer skills, especially with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, SAP

• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communications. Demonstrated excellent customer service.

• Proven team leadership skills.
