Job summary

ArchKey Solutions LLC invites a Project Engineer to join our New Castle, PA team. You will lead technical coordination on electrical construction projects, preparing shop drawings, managing submittals, schedules, and cost control, while collaborating with field crews and customers to ensure project success.

The role requires 1–2 years of electrical project engineering experience, familiarity with Primavera P6, AutoCAD, Navis, and Bluebeam, and a strong eye for detail and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in Project Engineering, electrical sector.
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Primavera P6, Viewpoint, AutoCAD, Navis, Bluebeam, HeavyBid or ConEst preferred.
• Understanding of electrical systems, schematics, lean construction techniques.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize Safety: conduct site safety audits.
• Review and submit shop drawings, track project submittals, and build construction schedules.
• Monitor installed quantities to keep projects on schedule.
• Support estimating functions and maintain cost reports.
• Prepare RFIs to clarify project details and requirements.
• Engage with customers to strengthen relationships and ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborate with field teams to address design and customer needs.

About the Position

As a Project Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of dynamic, high-impact projects in the electrical industry. You’ll collaborate with industry experts, deliver innovative solutions, and contribute to our mission of excellence and safety.

Day in the Life

• Prioritize Safety: Ensure jobsite safety is maintained by conducting regular site safety audits.
• Own the Details: Review and submit shop drawings, track project submittals, and build construction project schedules.
• Stay on Track: Monitor and maintain installed quantities to keep projects on schedule.
• Drive Efficiency: Maintain accurate cost reports, assist with estimating functions, and support financial accuracy.
• Enhance Communication: Generate and manage Requests for Information (RFI) to ensure project clarity and alignment.
• Build Relationships: Engage with customers to strengthen connections and ensure satisfaction.
• Field Support: Collaborate with field teams to address design and customer requirements.
• Ensure Compliance: Verify contract adherence and take on additional tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent field experience).
• Industry Knowledge: 1-2 years of experience in Project Engineering, specifically in the electrical sector.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with experience in Primavera P6, Viewpoint, AutoCAD, Navis, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or ConEst preferred.
• Electrical Expertise: Understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and lean construction techniques.
• Collaboration & Adaptability: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a constantly changing environment.
• Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Results-Oriented: Self-starter with the ability to thrive under tight deadlines.

Travel

• Occasional travel may be required.
