Job summary

Sunrise Engineering is seeking a full-time Project Engineer/PM to join our Phoenix, AZ office. You will provide strategic and operational support to service center managers, lead project design and supervision, and help drive cost estimates and resources planning for diverse water, wastewater, roadway, and drainage projects.

The role demands a four-year civil engineering degree, a P.E. license, CAD proficiency, and 5–10 years of relevant experience, with municipal project leadership and team

Qualifications

• CAD experience and strong written and verbal communication.
• 5–10 years' experience on water/wastewater, roadway and drainage projects.
• Municipal project and team management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic and operational support to service center managers.

• Leads projects and may supervise engineers, E.I.T.s, drafters, and field personnel.
• May work individually or in teams for larger projects.

Your Impact

The Project Engineer/PM provides both strategic and operational support to service center managers throughout the organization.

• Designs and supervises construction projects. These projects may range from water and wastewater, land development, and transportation based on the need of the Service Center.
• Estimates costs and personnel and material needs for projects.
• Conducts studies and prepares written reports for clients.
• Takes the lead on projects and may supervise other engineers, E.I.T.s, drafters, and field personnel.
• May work individually or participate as part of a team for larger scale projects.
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
• Assist in business development efforts.
• May assist in preparing statements of qualifications and proposals for potential clients.

Required Qualifications

Successful candidates should have a four-year civil engineering degree, P.E. license, CAD experience and good verbal and written communication skills with a minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience working on water/wastewater, roadway and drainage projects.

Preferred candidates will have experience managing municipal projects and managing teams.
