Job summary

Uprite Construction in California is seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of industrial and cold storage projects. This position offers career growth while working alongside experienced Project Managers on technically challenging facilities.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, 2 to 5 years of commercial construction experience, and strong organizational skills. Experience with Procore and cold storage facilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers throughout all phases of construction.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and document control.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and engineers.
  • Assist with scheduling, procurement, budgeting, and cost tracking.
  • Review drawings and specifications for completeness and constructability.
  • Help prepare change orders and project reporting.
  • Track long lead equipment and material deliveries.
  • Participate in project meetings and site coordination.
  • Assist with project closeout documentation.

What You’ll Do:
  • Support Project Managers throughout all phases of construction.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and document control.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and engineers.
  • Assist with scheduling, procurement, budgeting, and cost tracking.
  • Review drawings and specifications for completeness and constructability.
  • Help prepare change orders and project reporting.
  • Track long lead equipment and material deliveries.
  • Participate in project meetings and site coordination.
  • Assist with project closeout documentation.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 2 to 5 years of commercial construction experience.
  • Cold storage, industrial, food processing, manufacturing, refrigerated warehouse, or distribution center experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Refrigeration or food processing facility experience.
  • Internship or project experience in industrial construction.
