Job summary

Reytec Construction Resources Inc. seeks a Project Engineer to support the Waterworks Group. Responsibilities include managing subcontracts, purchase orders, submittals, and coordinating with the site superintendent for multiple job sites.

Ideal candidates have a civil engineering or construction management degree and at least 2 years in water/wastewater projects, plus proficiency in MS Word, Excel, CAD, and Primavera (P6).

Qualifications

  • Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Bachelor’s or Master of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Water & Wastewater projects.
  • Working knowledge and experience in all phases of construction.
  • Proficient with MS Office projects and Primavera (P6).

Responsibilities

  • Completes engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements.
  • Develops project objectives by reviewing proposals and plans and conferring with management.
  • Determines project responsibilities by identifying phases and assigning personnel, reviewing bids.
  • Determines project specifications by studying product design and customer requirements.
  • Completes technical studies and prepares cost estimates.
  • Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests.
  • Determines project schedule by studying plans and specifications and sequencing elements.
  • Maintains project schedule by monitoring progress and coordinating activities.
  • Controls project plan by reviewing design and plan, scheduling changes, and actions.
  • Controls project costs by approving expenditures and administering contractor contracts.
  • Prepares status reports by collecting and summarizing information and trends.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures and regulations.
  • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Job Description for Project Engineer

Department: Waterworks Group

Reports To: Project Manager

Summary of Responsibilities

The Project Engineer responsibilities to help manage subcontracts, purchase orders, submittals, coordinates with site superintendent and additional oversite for all activities on a jobsite(s), including scheduling.

Job Functions
  • Completes engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements.

  • Controls project costs by approving expenditures and administering contractor contracts.
