Job summary

Saulsbury Industries is seeking a Project Engineer to provide engineering development, oversight and project execution for oil and gas facilities across Texas sites. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers to deliver work packages to clients and construction teams, and support EPC project phases from mobilization through commissioning.

The role requires 2–10 years of relevant experience in oil and gas facility construction, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and strong

Qualifications

  • 2–10 years’ experience in Oil and Gas facility construction with a bachelor’s degree (minimum) in a relevant engineering discipline (mechanical, civil, electrical, or chemical).
  • Experience with industry codes (ASME, ASCE, API, IEEE) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with EPC project life cycle and MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams in basic design or detailed drawings and coordinate with Clients and Construction teams.
  • Review and issue project engineering and design deliverables through document control.
  • Coordinate with Requisitioning Engineers and Supply Chain for equipment procurement and submittals.
  • Facilitate weekly progress and schedule updates for management and client stakeholders.
  • Provide construction support from mobilization through commissioning.

Candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers to deliver the engineering work package to our Clients and Construction team or act in support of an Engineering Project Manager as project size and scope dictates.**Responsibilities/Competencies*** Lead, supervise and guide multi-disciplinary teams in the preparation and coordination of basic design or detail drawings ensuring deadlines are met and that work is completed to the required quality standards.* Review and prepare for issuance all project engineering and design deliverables through the document control process.* Manage the interface between Requisitioning Engineers and Supply Chain to facilitate the requisitioning and purchase of engineered equipment.* Coordinate and expedite the receipt and technical review of third party major equipment submittal drawing packages.* Facilitate weekly progress and schedule forecast updates for reporting to internal management and client stakeholders.* Coordinate with Construction teams to manage and resolve RFIs and provide general construction support from mobilization through commissioning.* Critical thinking to bring solutions to complex problems.* Review and resolve interdisciplinary design and technical issues to ensure the most effective and efficient design is adopted.* May be required to work on more than one project at a time.**Requirements*** 2-10 years’ experience in Oil and Gas facility construction with a bachelor’s degree (minimum) in a relevant engineering discipline (mechanical, civil, electrical, or chemical).* If no degree, 10 years’ work experience within teams executing similar Oil and Gas facility construction projects will be considered in lieu of Engineering Degree.* Experience with application of pertinent industry codes a plus (ASME, ASCE, API, IEEE)* Familiarity with the life cycle of executing EPC projects, including objectives, scope, schedule and deliverables* Familiarity with Microsoft suite of software (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Project)* Tenacious, results oriented approach to work with high quality work standards.* Impeccable personal and professional ethics and a commitment to a strong safety culture* Occasional travel involved to support projects during Construction phases.**Physical Requirements*** Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.* Ability to stand for extended periods of time.* Ability to walk the property and laydown yards.* Ability to carry up to 50 pounds.*Saulsbury is an equal opportunity employer.
