Project Engineer
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
Communications – be available and responsive off shift/nights/weekends as needed.
Jobsite layout including survey functions.
Prepare and provide organized and complete project documentation to superintendents, foremen and PMs for assigned projects.
Preparation of submittals.
Work closely and effectively with our customers, crews, office, shop, and accounting.
Utility locates and updates.
Material procurement, including obtaining quotes, purchase orders, and order coordination.
Attend progress meetings/record meeting minutes.
Change order management and preparation.
Scheduling, schedule preparation and updates.
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly progress reports and weekly reports as required.
Document control – both physical and electronic.
Cost tracking and project invoicing, preparation of T&M billings and claims.
Utilize Foundation Accounting Software for job cost, payroll, and T&M billing proficiently.
CAD and other technical drawings as required.
Coordination with subcontractors and suppliers.
QC understanding of plans and specifications to ensure work is in compliance.
Maintain record set of contract documents on the jobsite as required.
Maintain current inventory of equipment and material onsite.
Qualifications
BS degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
Minimum 2 years of experience.
Excellent computer skills and extensive knowledge of Word, Excel, MS Project.
