The Project Engineer supports the planning, coordination, and execution of heavy highway and civil construction projects at Ames Construction to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with contract requirements. This role works closely with project management, field supervision, subcontractors, and inspectors to deliver high-quality infrastructure projects, including roadways, bridges, and other civil structures.
This project is located in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. Subsequent projects will be nationally based. Travel between job sites may be required depending on project location. Work is primarily performed on active construction job sites, including highways, roadways, and heavy civil infrastructure projects. Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, and dust. Position requires walking, standing, climbing, bending, and lifting in a construction environment. Frequent interaction with heavy equipment, moving machinery, traffic, and construction hazards; strict adherence to safety protocols is required. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory at all job sites.
People are the most important asset at Ames Construction. Base salary range is $80,000-$90,000 a year, which varies depending on many factors, including experience, skills, and knowledge.
